Kaori Hoshino (b. 1993) is a Japanese mixed-media artist currently based in Hong Kong. Bridging the gap between traditional Edo-period Ukiyo-e aesthetics and contemporary material science, Hoshino is known for her "sculptural paintings." By integrating heavy structural gels and 3D modeling techniques with classic woodblock imagery, she transforms the historically "flat" art form into a tactile experience, exploring the depth of cultural memory in a globalized era.
